Saturday 17th June.

England were in action again tonight against Germany. Although I thought we were second best for much of the match, Alan Shearer stooped to head England into a 1-0 win. It's the first time we have beaten the Krauts in a competitive match for 34 years, and so it was quite historic in its way. Germany weren't the force they once were, but a win is a win. All we have to do is draw against Romania in the third group qualifier to see us through to the next round. No problem.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
