Monday 5th June.

Speculation in the local paper suggests that Andy Booth is another transfer target. Boothy who was a local hero after graduating through the ranks and breaking into the first team where he scored over 60 goals before moving on to Sheffield Wednesday in a £2¾ million deal.

Sometimes players who return to a former club fail to deliver, (remember Malcolm Brown in the early eighties?) so it remains to be seen whether it is a sound move or not, and besides it is only speculation at this stage and has not been substantiated by Steve Bruce. Perhaps it's more propaganda to raise interest after last season's disappointing finale.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
