Friday 2nd June.

Having failed to beat Ipswich in the play-off final, Barnsley's income has fallen somewhat now that the "Sky" money has dried up. A number of players are attracting interest as our South Yorkshire rivals (who thrashed us 7-1 a couple of seasons ago so there is no love lost) look to cut their wage bill. Clubs are descending like flies round a turd, and Town are supposed to be amongst those having been linked with Nicky Eaden. Eaden is a right-sided defender who can also play midfield, and let's face it we need to replace, or at least give competition to, Steve Jenkins. Nothing is certain yet, and I just hope it's not a smokescreen to try to flog a few more season tickets.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
