Friday 19th January

Tranmere are confident that the game will be able to beat the weather tomorrow despite the continuing freezing temperatures. It is hoped that the hot air blanket will do the trick and that the game will pass a morning pitch inspection by the referee. I am curious about this hot air blanket, presumably it is a large piece of plastic covering the pitch with a tube attached for Ian Ayre to talk into. With the amount of hot air he produces the game would be a certainty unless the grass catches fire!

There is an injury doubt over Simon Baldry and this is a great shame (am I really saying this?) because he has been playing very well recently. Dean Gorré has been ill this week (sick of playing for a struggling team?) and is presumably not an option so Macari might have to put Thomas Heary into midfield with the right back shirt going to either Jenkins or Moses.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
