The bitter end

Tuesday 21st November.

Town have organised a practice match tomorrow against Halifax to give a run out to yet another trialist, the latest (no doubt brief) visitor to the McAlpine is 27-year-old Brazilian striker Alexandrie Silveira Finazzi from French Second Division club Souchaux. Macari will not be following up his interest in Norwegian international defender Kjetil Pedersen, as Town have not been able to get international clearance, while Leeds youngster Damien Lynch remains with Town but is on instant recall to Leeds should the need arise.

It seems that Bristol Rovers have also been keeping an eye on Delroy Facey and presumably he is seen as a replacement for Jason Roberts who they sold to West Brom for a couple of million pounds in the Summer. I hope that we aren’t tempted to cash in on him because I feel that Facey has the potential to become a great player if we show some determination to keep him and concentrate on bringing the best out his undoubted talent.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
