The bitter end

Tuesday 7th November.

Rob Kozluk is nearing the end of his second month’s loan period, and Macari is making efforts to arrange for a third month at the McAlpine. It sounds as though Neil Warnock is getting stalled with this arrangement and has indicated that he may circulate Kozluk’s name to other clubs in an effort to get him off Sheffield United books. I can’t blame the former Town manager, because if the £70,000 price tag is to be believed then surely they will find a buyer, and it’s just a shame we can’t conjure up what is a pittance in footballing terms. It seems that Macari is paying the price for Bruce’s profligacy who brought players in on excessively high wages whilst shipping out the effort players who would give 90 minutes of hard graft to fight for the cause.

The final unbeaten record went in the first division with Watford losing at home to Sheffield Wednesday and not only was this a seriously unexpected result, it just goes to show that only Town can get themselves out of this mess. No-one else is going to oblige by being equally awful.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
