Monday 21st August.

Steve Bruce was interviewed on Radio Leeds, Leeds, Leeds praising the level of support from last Saturday’s game. Quite right Steve, we were superb weren’t we? Isn’t it a shame that the board of directors aren’t showing the same level of support and commitment as the fans but sadly football is more about money than passion these days.

The injury situation isn’t looking so good, and in the knowledge that no new arrivals will be turning up at the McAlpine in the foreseeable future the squad is starting to look a bit thin. It looks as though both Gorré and Gallen will be out for at least 3 weeks, although there is some better news that Martin Smith might be able to make tomorrows game against Oldham in the first round of the Worthington cup. With Ken Monkou still serving his club suspension, and Chris Beech and Steve Jenkins already ruled out through injury, perhaps I should be looking towards Town achieving the 53 point safety mark rather than the 78 point it usually takes to reach the play offs.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
