Wednesday 16th August

What a peculiar situation. Kevin Gray is still technically a Town player, yet he may still be heading over the Pennines. It seems to be a curious state of affairs where Kevin Gray was ill with a viral infection that ruled him out of some of Town's pre-season games, yet Stockport want to sign him for £250,000. Because of the lateness of the move they had to sign him on loan for a month, and even though he gave the free kick away that allowed Gillingham to take the lead after 1 minute, an instalment package had already been agreed. Instalments? What do they think this is, the Grattan catalogue? Ten percent down and 40 weeks to cough up, are we really so desperate to do business?

Anyway, as a fan of the man, I suppose at least it's not the done deal it appeared, and perhaps Steve Bruce who was not keen on letting him go can talk the board around to his way of thinking.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
