Monday 19th February

Macari was complaining in the paper about the poor work rate from the side on Saturday, well spotted Lou! This little nugget hasn’t escaped the attention of the 10,000 or so misguided fools who keep turning up for their dose of Saturday afternoon punishment, and we don’t even have coaching badges! I hope that this message has permeated down to the players because they are the ones who seem least affected by these poor performances as they drive home in their fancy cars to their houses that are, no doubt, well outside the Kirklees area.

Chris Beech who has been struggling with an Achilles injury throughout much of this season has had his problem diagnosed at last and will not play again during this campaign. Following surgery on his heel he is on now crutches, and it looks likely to take around 3 months for this to heal. It’s a shame because Town are crying out for goals from other departments, and he had a knack of popping up with vital goals from midfield.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
