Chapter Eight

Concentrate on the League

Monday 1st January.

With the postponement of the game against Crystal Palace, other results contrived to return us to the drop zone once again. Probably the most unexpected result was Stockport beating runaway leaders Fulham 2-0, whilst wins for Sheffield Wednesday, Tranmere and Wolves did little to help Town’s cause. Portsmouth, Gillingham and Norwich all picked up a point to make the bottom of the table very congested with only 8 points separating bottom placed QPR and 13th placed Gillingham. Our next league game against Stockport at home is another must win game, as they are only 2 points above us.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
