The bitter end

Friday 29th December.

With Craig Armstrong suspended following his fifth booking of the season, Macari will have to make at least one change for the visit of Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow. It looks as though he might either recall Dean Gorré or Ben Thornley, and I suspect that the second option might be more likely with Gorré being unsettled. Jon Dyson looks set to clock up his 200th appearance for Town, as he continues his run in the team being an almost automatic selection at the moment. I predicted that he would probably leave the club when Bruce took over, but he has proved himself to be an asset to the squad providing some much needed defensive cover and his goals have helped as well.

Former Town striker Andy Booth will miss the game and this is quite pleasing because he would probably score as he did so many times at the McAlpine in the blue and white of Town. If we can win tomorrow we would achieve our first double of the season.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
