Friday 25th August.

With the injury situation as it is presently, the squad named for tomorrow’s game against Crystal Palace seems to include every fit player holding a registration at the club.

Martin Smith looks almost certain to start, but there might even be places for Rob Edwards and David Beresford. Both seem to be considered as fringe players, and whilst I would certainly put the latter in the category, I think that the commitment and adaptability shown by Rob Edwards over the years might warrant Steve Bruce taking a chance on him.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
