Monday 12th March.
It was confirmed that Marcus Stewart was watching Town slump to
yet another defeat on Saturday. He was pictured in the paper tonight
apparently sitting with Clyde Wijnhard, but strangely Wijnhard didn’t
appear on the photo. Perhaps he had gone for a fag! I was puzzled
at first why Stewy was at the game when Ipswich were in action today,
but I was reminded by my friend that he was sent off against Leeds
a few weeks ago and this was the last of his three match suspension.
It’s nice to know that he obviously still feels something for the
club who prematurely dispensed with his services to watch them when
he has a blank Saturday, and very refreshing to see that he was
prepared to sit with the real supporters rather than the nobs in
the main stand. Well done Marcus, you are a top man but it’s a shame
you didn’t bring your boots!
Thursday has come early this week as it is reported that Lou Macari
is stepping up his search for new faces. This story is so tired
now, but is likely to get frequent airings over the next week and
a half until transfer deadline day. I really don’t know what Mr
Snooze will think to write about once the deadline has past until
the second division fixtures are released in mid summer. According
to Radio Leeds Leeds Leeds tonight Hull City’s Jamaican international
striker Theodore Whitmore might be a possible signing target. Apparently
he trained with Town last week, but it was reported in the paper
that they are unlikely to follow up their interest. More information
or disinformation, who knows?
