Tuesday 30th January.

No sign of Peter Ndlovu at my front door asking if he can cadge a few nights on the bed settee in my recently redecorated spare room. He is more than welcome as long as he signs up for Town and dons a blue and white shirt on a Saturday afternoon. According to the paper tonight, Lou Macari is planning talks with Ndlovu at some stage this week, so we’ll have to wait and see what develops. He is making no secret of the fact that he is keen to bring him to the McAlpine, and presumably a modicum of cash has been made available in order to achieve a deal.

Following a string of excellent performances since Macari took over, Simon Baldry has been offered a 3-year extension to his contract. He has flattered to deceive under a number of managers who have seen something in the player that has rarely been seen by the crowd. Let’s hope that he doesn’t do a Paul Dalton and begin playing like a complete tosser once the ink has dried on his contract.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
