The bitter end

Wednesday 26th July.

Trialists are now arriving thick and fast at the McAlpine, and today QPR striker Kevin Gallen (or should that be 4.54 litres?) became the latest possible transfer target. He is out of contract at Queens Park Rangers, and having just rejected the terms of a new offer would meet one of Town's signings criteria - he won't command a fee, although I suppose he will expect to get paid!

At 24 years old he has got age on his side, although he suffered a cruciate ligament injury a few years ago and his career didn't take off as was predicted when he won an England under 21 cap. He is pencilled in to take part in Town's next friendly match away against Port Vale, but let's not get too excited yet.

A spot of better news in the Intertoto cup, where Bradford lost 1-0 to Russian side Zenit St Petersburg. Let's hope it stays that way after the second leg and I think this takes place next Wednesday.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
