Monday 3rd July.

Things are still frustratingly quiet on the signings front, and although Ian Ayre has admitted the club's interest in Andy Booth there is nothing concrete. Another rumoured target, Nicky Eaden, has been having talks with Bolton and been told to make his decision quickly by our Lancastrian rivals so it looks like the trail is cooling on this one. There seems to be plenty of tangible transfer activity elsewhere with the exception of the tenants of the impoverished McAlpine stadium, but the rumours of possible new arrivals probably help to shift a few more season tickets, or am I just being cynical?

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
