Monday 23rd October.

Following Saturdays draw against Preston the injury list looks as bad as ever. With Gallen, Smith and Facey all failing to complete 90 minutes, we look bereft of attacking options for the visit to Crewe tomorrow night. Macari claims to be trying to land a loan signing, but once again the wage demands of anyone half decent seems to be a problem.

On the subject of money (again), Barry Rubery has stated that there are no new backers on the horizon to pull Town out of their financial mire and this is hardly surprising, after all, if you had a few million to spend on a football club, why choose one struggling at the foot of the table? Apparently he is going to have to subsidise the club to the tune of £4 million just to keep it afloat, but at the end of the day he is the one who sanctioned the high wage demands of wasters such as Ken Monkou. When we were a ‘small’ club we seemed to manage OK by signing players within a fairly strict wage ceiling, and even managed to build a new state of the art new stadium. Perhaps Mr Moneybags should have taken a leaf out of his predecessor’s book and managed his dosh a little better, after all he is the successful businessman.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
