Wednesday 27th September.

There was a summit meeting today between the Chairman and the Manager, with once again the onus being put on Steve Bruce to sort things out. I am sick of hearing the same old rhetoric day in day out when we badly need a change of personnel either on the pitch or in the manager’s office. I am starting to wonder just have long the rot will be allowed to continue before some action is taken. We were told in the summer that if we backed the club then they would return the fans’ commitment. However, record sales of season tickets don’t seem to have been matched with an equivalent outlay from the board.

Kevin Gray seems to have overcome the knock he suffered in training, and managed a reserve team outing with Steve Jenkins. If this continues then Steve Bruce’s usual excuse of injuries biting might be running out. Their inclusion in the reserves didn’t do them much good however, they lost 3-1 at home to Barnsley in a match that featured our latest trialist Jaime Moreno (any relation to club physio Alex?).

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
