Thursday 4th January.

Not only has Peter Ndlovu been recalled by Birmingham City, they are trying to get clearance for him to play in their FA Cup tie against Manchester City, but because he is technically still on loan with Town the FA need to give their approval for him to turn out for Birmingham. It is starting to look increasingly unlikely that he will make a return to Town and this would be a crying shame, particularly when he seemed to be left out in the cold at Birmingham until we gave him the chance to show.

Long-term absentee, Clyde Wijnhard, is back at Town today and will be seeing a specialist about his badly broken right arm. I hope that he is well on the way to recovery because we could do with him back soon especially if Ndlovu isn’t going to return. I know he sometimes couldn’t hit a barn door from 2 feet, but we need someone up front to hold the ball up and put opposition defenders under the kind of pressure Ndlovu did. Get well soon Clyde, I didn’t really mean some of the unkind things I said about you earlier this season.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
