Sunday 10th December.

The draw for the third round of the FA Cup was held live on television today, with Olympic Gold medal winners Steve Redgrave and Matthew Pinsent pulling the balls out so to speak. Why is it that we never seem to be drawn early, leaving us to wait and wait hoping for a plum tie at home to Manchester United or equally attractive opposition. Half of the aspiration was accomplished when Steve Redgrave pulled out our number meaning that we are at home, and Matthew Pinsent selected Bristol City as our opponents on the 6th January.

At least it’s a home game, but potentially tricky because they are playing well in the second division under the management of former Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Wilson.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
