Friday 27th April.

Sense looks likely to prevail in Macari’s team selection for the visit to the Hawthorns tomorrow, with Kevin Gray looking odds-on to get the nod to partner Chris Lucketti in central defence. This should allow the now recovered Steve Jenkins to continue at left-back and Thomas Heary on the right. This will allow Craig Armstrong back into central midfield where we need him to partner Chris Holland in a match of significance to both sides. A win for us would as near as dammit guarantee our survival regardless of other results, whilst a win for the ‘Baggies’ would cement their place in the play-off positions. Anyway with Macari’s sometimes weird team selections Martin Smith and Jon Dyson might be under consideration having also travelled down with the squad.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
