Tuesday 23rd January.

Further news today on the Tranmere v Town fixture shambles, and it seems that Tranmere advertised the game as a definite starter with the approval of the Football League. Tranmere were really keen for the game to take place before their big FA Cup game this weekend against Everton as they had an almost full squad to choose from. However, according to Macari when the idea was first broached on Saturday after the original postponement, he turned them down flat. John Aldridge showed concern that we didn’t have a game for three weeks, but that’s our problem not his, although it would have made this tome a little easier to write if there was a little more happening.

Lou Macari has been given the date of Tuesday, February 13th for his FA disciplinary hearing following his little contretemps with the fourth official at Fratton Park.

A big thank you to Machala for putting up with me doing this and Ian for his support and my Mum for her proof reading.
